FAQ

Welcome to the EndlessOM Retreat Festival at Buffalo Gap! We’ve compiled this comprehensive FAQ to help you prepare for your weekend of yoga, meditation, and outdoor adventure on our beautiful 200-acre property. If you don’t find what you’re looking for below, please reach out to us at info@endlessom.com.

The property address is:

Buffalo Gap Retreat
229 Cool Creek Road
Capon Bridge, WV 26711

Parking is available at your cabins or campsites. If you are staying off-site, there is a parking lot just inside the main entrance to the property.

Check-in is anytime after 4pm on Friday. Once you arrive, go directly to your cabin or campsite (cabin assignments will be emailed the week before arrival) and settle in. Then come to the EndlessOM table in the vendors area to check in.

Here is a Buffalo Gap campground map where you’ll see two main campgrounds: Creekside and Lakeview, with a number of individual sites. The Creekside sites are quieter and off the beaten path, while Lakeview sites are slightly smaller but right in the mix of everything. Both sites have access to brick and mortar restrooms, with showers.

When you arrive, decide which site you want (they are labeled) and set up, being mindful of each other’s space. We will not fill the full campgrounds, so there should be plenty of well-spaced sites available.

There is also a camp kitchen available for your use, and while meals are included with the accommodation packages, feel free to keep and prepare whatever food or snacks you may want in there throughout the weekend.

Please remember to bring ALL YOUR LINENS – including pillows, blankets and towels. Sleeping bags are recommended, especially for the shared studio cabins, as bed size is not assigned. If you register for a private room or cabin, you can reach out to info@endlessom.com with the subject line: Bed Size for your mattress size.

Each cabin has both heat and A/C, as well as fans, but bring what you would need to keep comfortable at night – layers, blankets, etc. Some of the cabin mattresses are less comfortable than what you may be used to, so feel free to bring a memory foam or egg crate mattress pad.

Each cabin also has a kitchenette, and while meals are included with the accommodation packages, feel free to bring whatever food or snacks you may want to keep in your cabin throughout the weekend.

And each cabin has at least one bathroom with a shower. The private room cabins have multiple bathrooms, though a private bathroom can’t be guaranteed.

  • Your yoga mat and props
  • Layers to practice in, as most classes are in the open air pavilion
  • Bug spray and sunscreen
  • Flashlight or headlamp
  • Beach towel and swimsuit
  • Sleep masks and earplugs – especially for shared cabins
  • Snacks for the weekend
  • Weather appropriate outerwear – don’t forget that it will be colder at night
  • Hiking or walking shoes
  • A journal and something the write with

Both aerial silks and paddleboards are provided, but bringing your own paddleboard means that you can take as many SUP yoga classes you want, since you won’t be using one of our limited number of boards.

You are also welcome to bring your own aerial silk, just arrive with it untied and come earlier to each class to give the instructor time to rig it up. However, as the rigging is shared, you will still only be able to attend 2 aerial classes.

Yes you can share a private cabin, each one has a maximum capacity of 4 adults.

Someone would need to register for the Festival + Private Cabin package, and the additional guests would register with the Festival + Meals option.

The private room cabins are gender neutral. The shared studio cabins may be same sex or gender neutral depending on your preference.

After your registration is processed, you will receive an email with a housing request form where you can make a note of your preference.

As some of the beds on-site are queen or full sized, it is possible to share a bed with someone, though this set-up would work best in a private room or private cabin. If you would like to share a bed, one person would register with the accommodation package and the other would register for the Festival + Meals package.

**There are 2 private rooms on site that have 2 twin beds in them. We are not selling them separately, so if you have 1 person you want to share a room but not necessarily a bed with, this would be a good option for you. Just email info@endlessom.com with the subject line: Twin Room just prior to registering to assure availability.

Yes, if you have a partner or friend that wants to enjoy Buffalo Gap Retreat but not participate in any of our events, they are welcome. Just register with a campsite, private room or private cabin and they can share with you.
They will have to purchase a meal plan plus pay a facility fee of $65 for the weekend. Please email info@endlessom.com with the subject line: Guest to request.

Children 12 and up are welcome to register and participate in any of the classes they are interested in. Children under 12 are a little too young for our classes, but they can still come and enjoy Buffalo Gap – swimming, kayaks and canoes on the lake*, beach volleyball, hiking and exploring.

Just register with a campsite, private room or private cabin and they can share with you. You will have to purchase a meal plan for them plus pay a facility fee of $50 for the weekend. Please email info@endlessom.com with the subject line: Guest to request.

*Please note: there is no lifeguard on duty

Buffalo Gap Retreat is a pet-friendly facility, as long as animals are on leash and under the owners control. There is a $20 pet fee that you can email info@endlessom.com with the subject line: Pet Fee to process. Owners must clean up after their pets and will be responsible for any potential damage they may cause to the facilities.

We request that pets be left in your cabin or campsite during classes, but they are free to explore the grounds with you whenever you are not practicing. And while only service animals are allowed inside the cafe, there is plenty of outdoor seating for them to join us during meals, and at the campfires of course.

The best accommodation option with a pet would be a private cabin or a private room cabin. Shared studio cabins would only work if the other cabin guests are ok with an animal, and that can be requested but cannot be guaranteed.

No, Buffalo Gap Retreat is closed to the public that weekend, so everyone on-site will be affiliated with EndlessOM in some way. That means all 200 scenic, beautiful acres just for us!

Yes, you are welcome to attend the festival and make your own accommodation arrangements. Winchester, VA would be the closest location with a number of chain hotels, and we will have discount rooms available (more info to follow).

Just register for either the Festival Only or Festival + Meals.

Yes, if you are unable to join us for the full weekend, you are welcome to come for the day on either Saturday or Sunday.

Please email info@endlessom.com with the subject line: One Day to request.

The only classes that require pre-registration are aerial and SUP.  After we process your registration, you will receive an email confirmation that will allow you to select up to 2 aerial classes, and 1 SUP class (if space allows). Every other class is open, no sign-ups required.

Yes, you should definitely still come! We have a number of gentler, slower paced classes and meditation and mindfulness experiences that are suitable for all levels.

Also, all our teachers will offer variations during classes to best suit all bodies.

The only class with a prerequisite is the Aerial Arts Flow (info coming soon) class with Sara.

Yes, you should definitely still come! We have a weekend packed full of so many different ways and opportunities to practice, skipping these classes will not detract from your overall experience.

The EndlessOM Retreat Festival is a rain or shine event. Thankfully all our practice spaces (with the exception of SUP) are covered and well-protected from the elements.

SUP classes will only be canceled in the event of thunder and lightning.

Pack for the weather, but also be prepared for the weather forecast to be completely wrong!

Buffalo Gap Retreat has a wood-fired cedar sauna right next to the lake. Sauna sessions are booked in hour increments, can run from 9am-10pm, and can accommodate up to 5 people for only $18.

Please email info@endlessom.com with the subject line: Sauna to reserve a time.

Yes, Buffalo Gap Retreat has an on-site spa and one of the best massage therapists from the DC area!

Here is the spa menu and you can email Barbara Jazzo directly at barbara@buffalogapretreat.com to schedule.

While alcohol is not provided as part of our meal plan, the cafe at Buffalo Gap Retreat does sell beer and wine. You are also welcome to bring whatever you would like to store in your cabin or camp kitchen – fridges and freezers are available.

However, quiet hours (10pm-8am) need to be observed, and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated, and may result in removal from the property. Obvious use/abuse of illegal substances will also not be tolerated and may result in removal from the property.

There are no refunds on any festival related purchases unless it is due to a personal Covid-19 illness or pandemic related shutdowns. A positive test result would be needed to process a refund due to Covid-19 illness.

The only other no refund exception would be a cancellation within 24 hours of booking.

Fortunately Buffalo Gap is not requiring checkout before the end of the festival events on Sunday.

So while you might want to pack-up during the day on Sunday, you do not have to be out of your cabins or campsites until Sunday evening.
